About Maryam
Looking into the Future
After being released from prison, I dedicated my time and energy into creating a safe place for conversation about incarceration and the effects of prison trauma. This led to my, continuing, goal of helping individuals recreate themselves and reestablish their humanity for the future. I dedicated myself full time to becoming a motivational speaker for organizations, corporations and conferences around the world. The plan is to break through the boundaries of how incarceration affects economics, families and society. The decarceration program is funded by SisterHearts Thrifty Collectables to assist individuals to move from the world of yesterday's regrets into the world of tomorrow's victories. I plan to continue this goal of allowing others to learn from my first hand experiences.
Personal Journey
As a motivational speaker I share how we are only limited by the things that we allow to limit us. The keys to success and productivity are already in our pocket. Being a decarceration specialist I show people how to unlock and encourage themselves to open the door to recreate themselves. Prison doesn't have to be a revolving door. SisterHearts Thrifty Collectables/Decarceration Facility is proof that one can step out and never return as an inmate. Just like I did, except to teach and share the message for decarceration.

The Real Connection
I developed the decarceration concept during my incarceration. While there were plenty of reentry programs. There is only one decarceration program-SisterHearts. Decarceration allows for better commitment to transform ones mindset and results with longer emotional stability.
